Application Of Silane Coupling Agents In Rubber Industry

Silane coupling agents can significantly improve the physical and processing properties of filled rubber. Among them, the improvement in physical properties is based  on the chemical bonding between filler and base glue by silane coupling agent;The improvement in processability  is due to the silane coupling agent improving the dispersion of the filler in the base rubber, thereby reducing the viscosity of the mixing rubber compound.

The use of silane coupling agent in the rubber process can more or less obtain the following benefits: such as increasing the elastic modulus, obtaining higher tensile strength and tear resistance; reducing the compression set rate; improving solvent resistance and resistance abrasion performance; reducing heat build-up, extending elastic life; stabilizing electrical performance in wet state and reducing water permeability, etc. When mixing into rubber, adding silane coupling agent can shorten the mixing time, reduce the viscosity of the rubber compound, improve the extrusion processability, improve the appearance and quality of the molded product, and reduce roll sticking and other disadvantages.
